To be a panel heater means its heats a panel (ie the front). This one has a coil in the back that heats air which rises out of the top. So it’s more like a convection heater without a fan. It gives off a lot of heat and is quick but we would have preferred a panel type as they don’t dry the air out. Maybe I should have gone for an oil filled heater.

I think the description could have been clearer. To me a panel heater should heat a panel. This one heats a coil behind the panel and the heat rises out of fins at the top. So it’s more like a convection heater without a fan. It works quickly and gives off a lot of heat but we wanted more of a radiator feel with less dry air created.

have a heating element inside and they work by heating the air that is in the room. It starts by passing the cool air through the heater, as it starts to get warm, the hot air comes out and then rises, pushing the the cooler air down. They are good for a quick source of heat, to take the chill off the room.
A radiator will heat the room via radiant heat rather than pushing hot air into the room. For example an oil filled electric radiator will heat the room with radiant heat, giving you a more comfortable feel, rather than pushing hot air into the room which a panel/convector heater will do.

Very neat and slim fit perfectly. Is place of my old one, and simple to use. Which at my age helps, puts out plenty of heat.

This is a really efficient radiator. Got our electrician to install it. and it warms the area rapidly. A nice modern looking panel and pleased to get it at a good price.

Good product, but more expensive than the originally ordered identical version from another manufacturer that was not available.
Another successful purchase
This was my second purchase from the Heater Shop and again the product was just right and delivered promptly. My original order was not readily available this time, and I got a call straight away from the Heater Shop to explain this and the alternatives (I chose another available product).
